2017 CROSS COUNTRY REGISTRATION IS OPEN

OurCROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM will officially begin on Sunday, August 27, at 6:00 p.m. at the outdoor track at Leary Field.  Cross country involves training and racing of distances of 1.1 to 2.4 miles over grass fields and wooded trails and offers outstanding conditioning for all sports.

Practices will be held at the outdoor track, Sunday through Thursday (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the preferred practice days, but members choose which nights they can attend –  8-10 year olds are encouraged to attend on Sundays, Tuesdays or Thursday so that we can have all younger members training together, which will be more enjoyable and efficient for them).

The main part of the Program runs from August 27 through October 22 – members will then have the opportunity to continue on through November with the Jr. Olympic level races if they choose.

Registrations for our XC Program are now open via familyid(early registration is strongly encouraged – there will be a pre-season conditioning schedule for those who are registered early – 11 year olds on up may start their pre-season next week)

Region 1 Junior Olympics Update

Region 1 Junior Olympics Update

We hope that everyone enjoyed the Region 1 Jr O experience this past weekend. As always with these events, there are many stories now to be told and remembered.  Race day is always chaotic, especially when our Club has so many competing in race after race – we never really have the opportunity to talk with everyone after their races, but we do hope all members walked away glad that they attended – cold & wet, but happy.

Spring program update

Spring program update

As you hopefully know, our Spring Program is set to start this Monday, April 25, for all 11-12 and 13-14-year-old boys and girls. All 11-12 and 13-14-year-olds should report, dressed to practice, by 6:00.  All 8-10 boys and girls will start Thursday, April 28. Members should bring plenty of water and warm clothing – better to have and not need than to need and not have.  Please label all clothing and personal items with member’s names so “when” they leave things behind, we know who the items belong to...
