Coach Joe's 'What to Pack' list

Mandatories

These items should always be in your track or cross country bag:

  • competition number (if given to you ahead of time)
  • pins
  • 2-3 pairs of running shoes
  • extra shoe laces
  • uniform
  • extra shirt(s)
  • extra socks (3 pair)
  • sweatshirt and pants
  • umbrella
  • 2-3 large garbage bags
  • water
  • snacks
  • band-aids
  • tissues
  • toilet paper
  • towel
  • money for t-shirts or food
  • sunscreen
  • homework or reading material
  • spikes and wrench (spikes should be installed the day before the race)

Cross Country Additions

For cross country, you should add these:

  • hat
  • mittens and/or gloves

Optional Items

You may also want to bring:

  • elastics or hair ties
  • bug spray
  • camera
  • Tylenol or Motrin
  • rain jacket
