PROSPECT HILL 5K - A RAW SERIES EVENT (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED)

The Annual PBR 5K race - is a RAW SERIES event scheduled for Saturday, September 10 at 2:00.  The event provides a challenging, scenic 5K race through the trails at Prospect Hill on Totten Pond Road in Waltham.

Our Club provides volunteers the day of the meet to assist with set up, with registration and with course martials to guide runners through the course.  Volunteers are needed from 1:00-3:00.  If interested in being a volunteer, send us a message via this web site.  For info about the race or to enter the event, go www.rawseries.org

HIGH SCHOOL FALL CONDITIONING PROGRAM

Our high school Fall Conditioning Program has begun.  Registration form can be printed from our Forms page on this web site.

Sessions are held every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 at the J Lee Gould Outdoor track at Leary Field, Bacon St., in Waltham.  General conditioning, flexibility, strength training with Olympic weights, speed training and athletic agility will all be included in the program.  The Program runs through the start of the winter indoor track season.

CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM UPDATE

Registrations for our fall Cross Country Program are being accepted via our Familyid link at http://www.familyid.com/waltham-track-club/2016-youth-cross-country-program

Pre-season XC practices for all 13-14 year old members has already started and will be held every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday through August 28.  Practices for all ages will begin on August 28 and continue every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday thereafter through December.  All sessions are held at the J Lee Gould Outdoor Track at Leary Field, on Bacon St., in Waltham. 

Our first race will be the GBTC Youth Race at Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley on September 11.  Members should use our Familyid sign up link if they plan to participate in this event- there is a $10 entry fee http://www.familyid.com/waltham-track-club/2016-gbtc-developmental-meet-registration

Spring program update

As you hopefully know, our Spring Program is set to start this Monday, April 25, for all 11-12 and 13-14-year-old boys and girls. All 11-12 and 13-14-year-olds should report, dressed to practice, by 6:00.  All 8-10 boys and girls will start Thursday, April 28. Members should bring plenty of water and warm clothing – better to have and not need than to need and not have.  Please label all clothing and personal items with member’s names so “when” they leave things behind, we know who the items belong to...
